There is buzz about introducing a subject of computer programming to grade school students. Already many elementary school kids around the world have started to learn computational methods through Initial Learning Environments (ILE). ILE like Scratch offers feature rich environment where children can enjoy creating stories, art projects, animations and simulations.
Children can start learning computer programming as soon as they are interested. Age is not a compulsive criteria to learn. They can start by exploring and experimenting simple forms and tasks. Gradually they move on more advanced topics, methods and achieve higher level skills and knowledge.
